Nuages Gris. It was the name of one of the piano pieces that I had performed at an Honor’s concert for the South Bay School of Music Arts. Out of all 6 concerts that I had competed to perform in, this was one of my favorites. I remembered my teacher telling me afterwards that his old college professor had taken notice of my peformance, and that my interpretation of Nuages Gris had made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. I didn’t know whether to take that as a compliment or not, but decided that it was flattering either way, haha. Since then, I’ve unknowingly developed an attachment to this piece…especially it’s evocative title.
About Nuages Gris’s Weblog
I think a lot, so much so that I’ll spend an hour just thinking about things before I can fall asleep. I also listen to A LOT of music…and watch a lot of quirky independent films/mainstream movies…and so I thought…I might as well write it all down. I started a blog a while back that was strictly devoted to music and book critiques, but eventually neglected it due to lack of time on my part. I was recently inspired to start a new one as a means to productively regurgitate all of the thinking that goes on in my head. Enjoy, and comment as you wish
